Andrew Robinson – Director

Andrew Robinson

Andrew joined Dow Schofield Watts in 2023 when DSW Tax Advisory acquired STS Europe, a specialist tax company with expertise in offshore trusts.

He joined STS in 2012 as a Trainee Tax Analyst and progressed his role in the company alongside its growth before being promoted to Director in 2018.

Andrew completed his Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification in 2019 and his Chartered Tax Advisor exams the following year, making him an official associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

During his time at STS, Andrew has developed a wide range of experience based on detailed tax knowledge, from analysing offshore banks to providing inheritance tax planning for clients looking to the future.

Andrew has also overseen the highly complex computational work for a bribery case involving the identification of corrupt monies laundered through over 100 multi-jurisdictional bank accounts.

Dave Waddington

Dave joined Dow Schofield Watts in 2021 from Haines Watts in Liverpool where he was tax partner.

A qualified accountant and former head of finance at BASF, he has specialised in tax for almost 20 years, having also worked at Grant Thornton and run his own tax consultancy.

Dave advises owner-managed businesses and high net worth individuals on issues including remuneration planning, R&D tax credits, capital gains, inheritance tax, succession planning, acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructurings and tax investigations.

Carla Holmes

Carla is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and has co-founded the Thames Valley office based in Reading with fellow partner Steve Holmes to provide financial and tax due diligence together with tax and accountancy advisory services.

Carla trained with Haines Watts, building over 12 years of experience in technical tax, tax planning, tax compliance, due diligence, audit and accounts preparation. Since then, she has gone on to build her own tax advisory business, building a strong local reputation for clear and pragmatic tax advice. Carla primarily works with entrepreneurial businesses and their owners in the upper SME market and her main focus areas are corporate, payroll (PAYE/NIC), VAT and capital taxes.

Ali Hasan

Ali joined Dow Schofield Watts Tax Advisory in 2021 and has a degree in Finance, Accounting from Salford University.

Prior to Dow Schofield Watts Ali was at KPMG, where he worked in the Corporate Tax department.

Since joining Dow Schofield Watts, Ali has worked on a variety of transactions across numerous sectors.

In his spare time, Ali can be found playing Cricket or watching movies. He also enjoys travelling whenever he can and recent trips include to middle east.
